The cloud blurs their weave with the ridge
we mix our earth and smoke
the mountain sometimes longs to dissolve
as what floats bows down to kiss gravity
and we can’t help but measure their vast
language within the scope of ourselves,
our movement, our stillness. we dance in
metaphor, we dance inside their song.
