A rêverie opens us true. We hover in between, carried beyond the outlines of here. Somewhere within us is a place vast and unapologetic. We do not make sense; instead, we lose ourselves in longing, in a stormy descent. A rêverie invites us to turn inside out. We become giants alone and together, laughing as the wind tickles—expelling the known and the forgotten in one braided blur, pouring its waves into the beauty and terror of our open sea.

A characteristic element in her work is the confrontation between focused and unfocused in her pictorial compositions. The lack of focus is important in giving expression to movement and a tension with an underlying tone both of drama and distress. The human bodies that form her motifs are emblems of this condition. We are constantly pervaded by these metaphors, these images that mirror our own interior selves. These inner bodies want to display themselves naked.
